Connect for Health Colorado

The Affordable Care Act institutes some national reforms to our nation’s healthcare system, yet also leaves much to the states to regulate themselves–such as health insurance marketplaces where small business owners and individuals can purchase insurance, and whether a state extends its Medicaid program.

Soon after the Affordable Care Act was passed, the Colorado General Assembly passed Senate Bill 11-200 in 2011, enacting legislation to implement provisions of the law by creating its health insurance marketplace–what is now known as Connect for Health Colorado.
