Cost Estimator

This tool will calculate an estimated monthly and annual cost for your group of employees.

This tool starts with the plan type and price range suggested by the Plan Type/Price Range Generator. If you'd like to calculate estimated monthly costs for a different type of plan, simply choose it from the pulldown list below.

Keep in mind that actual plan prices may vary widely depending on your particular group, your group's risk factor, the ZIP code location of each employee, and the plan you select.

How many dependents do you
expect to cover?

per month  per year

Note: These costs assume that all employees and dependents will be charged the same premium. However, most health plans and insurers charge a lower premium for children than for employees and spouses. If many of the dependents you'll be covering are children, your total costs will be lower than those shown here.

* On average, small employers in the United States pay 82% of the employee-only premium and 64% of the premium for dependents. (Note that the definition of "small employer" nationwide is 2 to 199 employees rather than 2 to 50 as in California.)
