Covered California operates a marketplace just for small employers, Covered California for Small Business, that offers new health insurance choices to small businesses and their employees. The program is designed specifically for employers with one to 50 eligible employees to give them unprecedented opportunities to offer a variety of Qualified Health Plans to their employees. Beginning January 1, 2016, small businesses with 51-100 employees will be eligible to enroll in coverage through the small business marketplace. Through Covered California for Small Business, both employers and their employees can choose the plans that fit their needs and their budget.
